Dealing with the Unexpected

Have you ever felt like things are running along smoothly, and then the unexpected happens?

Intellectually, you know you’re being tested, but you can feel your emotions beginning to boil. 

What do you do when that happens? How do you deal with adversity?

The natural tendency is to defend yourself or immediately try to fix the situation.

Too many people spend an enormous amount of time and energy on things that are outside of their control. 

When things happen that we don’t particularly like, we have to remind ourselves that this is, in fact, the moment that self-discipline is required
