Good Days and Bad

As leaders, we are going to have some great days and some not so great days.

There will be times when everything seems to go your way and you feel great. You can’t wait to share your achievements with others and enthusiastically celebrate a job well done.

Other times, you feel like you just can’t catch a break. Nothing seems to be working and the list of things to do keeps growing. Intellectually, you know there is a light at the end of every tunnel but for whatever reason, that light feels like it’s miles away.

Some people become enamored in their own press when things go well and others stay trapped in a bad mood when things don’t go as expected.

Here’s my question: How do you handle success and failure?

I want to share with you the #1 lesson I learned from my father. A lesson I was fortunate enough to acquire at an early age and one I have made a habit of putting into practice on a regular basis. I share it with those I coach who have adopted it in both their business and personal life. I invite you to watch me explain it in this short video.

Or stream it on your favorite podcast platform! It’s episode 80 of the Getting Results podcast: Leadership Lesson for Winning and Losing! It’s available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Spotify, and others.
