Time Travel

What advice would you give yourself?

So many times we get entangled in asking ourselves what to focus on or where to begin.

Everything is moving so fast. All we can think about is what is currently demanding our attention at this moment.

But you want more. More time. More money. More freedom. More happiness.

How do I see past the daily grind?

One of my mentors taught me the following activity, and it was an immediate game-changer for me and for the hundreds of people I’ve shared it with.

Time travel. Try it.

Give yourself the freedom to escape for a few minutes and envision yourself in the future.

What does a newer version of yourself look like?

Visualize a wiser, more mature, and even more successful version of yourself.

Imagine everything just how you want it to be—who you are, what you do, and what you have.

See yourself interacting with others. Notice how they positively respond to you. You are succeeding. You are happy. You are at peace. The “New You” is exactly who you want to be, an improved version of the current you.

Now, widen your view.

What do you notice about where you live, your home, your personal life, your health, the downtime you give yourself, and the ones you love?

See yourself leading others. Who seeks your advice? What do they ask you? What wisdom do you share with them? How do they respond to you? How do you carry yourself?

Walk yourself through the hours of an ideal day. What time do you wake up? How do you spend your morning? What consumes the majority of your day? How do you spend your evening? With whom?

Experience what it’s like to be an older and wiser version of yourself. Visualize meeting that person and spending time together in a quiet place. What do you want to share with that person about your current situation? What questions do you want to ask? What fears, behaviors, or thought patterns do you want to highlight? Listen carefully.

  • What advice would the more mature you give the current you?
  • What would the older you recommend you start doing?
  • What would the wiser you encourage you to stop doing?

That’s what I focus on. Want help? Let’s connect and schedule time.
