That wasn’t helpful…

Have you ever asked a question and gotten a really unhelpful (or unkind) response?
Early in my career, I quickly learned that how you ask a question matters.
Sometimes you have to bring a problem to your boss’s attention, alert a client that something went wrong, or ask a coworker for help.
The way you bring the challenge forward directly affects the kind of response you will get in return.
Imagine being able to raise issues in a way that gets people interested and willing to help, instead of attracting unkind or unhelpful responses.
This week, I share a simple technique that you can use every time you need to ask for help. And as a bonus: this week’s episode comes with an email template that you can download and use as a cheat sheet! Check it out:
